History from William Greene...collector
William & son Forrest took a trip to see the current owner of the last remaining Terrill's , and got a chance to talk to the guy who assembled his saw in 1955 model 50. he also said that there were at the most 3-400 made total.
Our host that gave us the "tour" was mr. R.D.FAULKNER of Bangor,ME. he has been in the chainsaw selling business since 1954. during highschool Reggie would go to work at Terrill saw co and put saws together. He was telling us that the crankshaft's were breaking and that finally they corrected the problem by sending the crank's to a heat treating facility in Concord,N.H. to harden the soft crank's.
Terrill saws are very collectible and rare to find in decent restorable condition.
