Testimony: Nova-Scotia picture (feb2009) of Royce Hefler, a donation from Dave Heffler(Fort Sackville Foundation): Distant relatives of mine have operated a sawmill for in nearby Sackville, Nova-Scotia, Canada, for about 150 years. The main operator or the mill has been Royce Hefler and he is still alive and active at age 88 but no longer owns the mill. I attach, for your interest, a picture that I happen to have of him using one of the first chain saws in Nova Scotia, probably about 1950.
