PEERLESS 750...The last of the Clinton's.

The Clinton plant closed down in Michigan and moved to Maquoketa august of 1950. Peerless was the last branch produced by Clinton before the closure. Founder Don Thomas sold the company to the Charnay investor's group of New York operated by Don Suhr and poorly managed it went bankrupt.....Purchased from bankruptcy by Martin Hoffinger, the Maquoketa plant was reduced to 300 employees in 1967, to finally shut down in 1980.
This is one of their "branch" saw last model produced. THE PEERLESS 750
This saw is new....never used for cutting wood...still has the instruction paper on the roller nose and blue original burned paint on the muffler. When i did the inspection there was no sawdust anywhere to be found and the mechanical shows no sign of any wear.
