The last 2 man saw made by Titan. This one has the manual clutch handle engagement prior to the automatic clutch.... predecessor to their first one man saw..the 200JR

The ER was made in Seattle, Washington on 4th and Lander. Mill and Mine Supply had a foundry and machine shop there and produced logging and mining supplies plus marketed others tools in a large catalog. The ER was a model E Titan revised with better cylinders and a cast gas and oil tank instead of a round steel tank. It was two simultaneous firing apposed cylinders and used the same internals as some Neptune outboards with a manual clutch. The R stands for "Revised". It was made around 1947 and rated at 10 hp.
The ER became the Bluesteak with no mechanical changes but a color change from gray to blue. With the introduction of the automatic clutch it became the Bluestreatk Automatic and was a very popular and successful two man saw in the late 1940's. Lots of pictures on Acres Collector's Corner. As a general rule, condition and completeness are critical elements when determining value, often more so than rarity.
